Sibella Giorello’s Raleigh Harmon—the intriguing FBI agent specializing in forensic geology—sets sail again in The Mountains Bow Down (Thomas Nelson). The book takes place on a cruise to Alaska, so Giorello took the cruise for research. The cruise director, also a Christian, was happy to help out the author. “When I told him I was researching a novel, his enthusiastic response surprised me,” the author says, “especially since I told him the research was for a murder mystery. ‘Hey, that’s great,’ he said. ‘There are so many ways to kill people on a cruise ship.’ For the next seven days he showed me every potential danger, from top deck to the engine room. I’m convinced that guy was a gift from God!”
