Mr. Texas (1951)
The first film from BGEA’s new film studio, Mr. Texas premiered at the Hollywood Bowl for an audience of 25,000—the largest single premiere in the history of film at the time. The L.A. Times reports that the audience included a number of celebrities, including legendary director Cecil B. DeMille. Out of that audience, 500 people responded to the invitation to receive Christ. The film starred Redd Harper and Cindy Walker. With Billy Graham.
