The Evangelical Christian Publishers Association recently announced the winners of the 2021 Christian Book Awards. Baker Books author Sheila Walsh was named the winner in the Young People’s Literature category for her book Praying Girls Devotional.

The Praying Girls Devotional, which was created after the success of Sheila’s book Praying Women, invites young girls to experience the incredible power of prayer through a 60-day devotional that will help shape their hearts and grow their faith.

Since 1978, the Christian Book Award program has recognized the highest quality of Christian books and is the oldest and most prestigious award in the religious publishing industry. This year, ECPA announced the winners in twelve categories based on their excellence in content, literary quality, design, and impact. ECPA president, Stan Jantz, said, “Congratulations to all the winning authors and their publishers for producing these outstanding titles. In a year of uncertainty and turmoil, readers turned in record numbers to Christian books.”
