“All these things Jesus spoke to the crowds in parables, and He did not speak to them without a parable.” – Matthew 13:34

It’s this simple: Jesus told stories.

During His ministry on earth, our Lord never spoke to the crowds without sharing stories. Why is that? Why not math, or lists, or instructions?

Granted, He also shared those on occasion—but the Bible says that He never spoke to the crowds without sharing a story. (Matt. 13:34)

It’s because Jesus knows that’s how we are wired. The Creator made us in such a way that we process stories differently than other kinds of information. Give me a math problem or a list or a set of instructions, and you hope I can remember it.

Tell me a story, and it can burrow its way into my heart.

Wrapping truth inside a story makes an impact. That’s why Christian storytellers have such a wonderful role in the Kingdom of God. Whenever we read, or watch, or hear a story that’s created from a Christian worldview, something valuable has been planted in our hearts.

Here at FamilyFiction, we celebrate the Christian creator. Whether it’s an author, filmmaker, animator, or other type of storyteller, there’s a noble service in filling the world with stories that reinforce a biblical view of the world and our place in it.

If you are excited about stories from creators who glorify the Creator, then you are in the right place!
