What do you hope readers take away after reading More Than Words Can Say?

My hope is that God will speak to readers’ hearts through this story. That he will bring a unique message to each them, perhaps even one I didn’t consciously include. As humans, it’s so easy to listen to the voice of fear and let it drive our decision making.

Yet there is great freedom to be found in trusting the source of perfect love and letting Him drive out our fear. Only then can we live our best lives, the abundant lives the Father designed for us.

How does your faith impact how you approach being a storyteller?

I depend on the Creator for inspiration and direction every day. He is the ultimate truth, and writing without his influence would void my stories of life. My characters are imperfect people of faith, just as I am. In fact, many of the core issues they struggle with are ones I battle regularly in my own life.

Every book I write is a spiritual journey for me, and I pray that when a reader picks one of them up, they are taken on a spiritual journey as well. One in which God reveals a nugget of truth to them that allows them to walk closer to the Father even as they romp through a lighthearted, adventurous story.

What are your favorite ways to hear from your readers?

I love hearing from readers no matter how they contact me—email, snail mail, singing telegram—all are delightful.

One of my favorite avenues, though, is my fan group, The Posse. This is a Facebook group that has really become a community. We pray for each other, do crafty things together, and talk about all things bookish. My Posse helps me brainstorm ideas for new books, picks out inspiration images for my heroes and heroines, and helps me plot conflicts. We also have group projects like a short story the members are writing, a Christmas ornament exchange, and spring color sheets. It’s a lot of fun, and I’m always accepting new members. Just search for “The Posse” on Facebook and click to join.

An Impossible Situation. An Unlikely Couple. A Recipe for Love?

After fulfilling a pledge to a dying friend, Zacharias Hamilton is finally free to live life on his own terms. No opportunities to disappoint those he cares about, just the quiet bachelor existence he’s always craved. Until fate snatches his freedom away once again when the baker of his favorite breakfast treat is railroaded by the city council. As hard as he tries to avoid getting involved, he can’t turn a blind eye to her predicament—or her adorable dimples.

Abigail Kemp needs a man’s name on her bakery’s deed. A marriage of convenience seems the best solution—if it involves a man she can control. Not the stoic lumberman who oozes confidence without saying a word whenever he enters her shop. Control Zacharias Hamilton? She can’t even control her pulse when she’s around him.

Once vows are spoken, Abigail’s troubles should be over. Yet threats to the bakery worsen, and darker dangers hound her sister. As trust grows between Zach and Abby, she finds she wants more than his rescue. She wants his heart.
