Few films have been made that feature the sport of cycling, but The Potential Inside gives viewers an inside glimpse into the world of elite bicycle racing. The movie stars Scotty Curlee, a semi-pro cyclist and the film’s director, as a retired veteran cyclist who’s given an opportunity to train a rookie cycling prodigy. Preoccupied with battling his own inner demons, Curlee’s character reluctantly acclimates the prodigy to the fast paced world of bicycle racing. The Liberty University alum shot much of the film in and around Lynchburg, Va., and includes race scenes through some of the most treacherous courses on the East Coast.
