New from Barbara
Cameron is A Time To
Love (Abingdon Press),
the first in her Quilts of
Lancaster Series: In the
story, war correspondent
Jennie
King—who was
injured in
a car bomb
attack—is
recuperating
in her
grandmother’s Amish community
when she crosses paths
with the man she had a
crush on as a teen. She
thought her visit was just
temporary, but now wonders if God has other
plans …
A prolific author and
scriptwriter, Barbara’s
entry into Amish fiction
was inspired by a visit to
the Amish community in
Lancaster,
Pennsylvania. “My
initial visit
exposed me
to people of
a different religion and
culture than mine,” Barbara says. “I found the
Amish to be very spiritual
and kind people who are
living their lives in a
simpler way than us in
order to focus on their
faith and family.”
Her Quilts of Lancaster
County series continues
next year with A Time to
Heal (February 2011) and
A Time for Peace (August
2011). Her next Amish
series, Stitches in Time,
kicks off in 2012.
