About The Author

John Walton has always been enthusiastic about the study of nature through science research. He was brought up in a Christian home and received a traditional Grammar School education. He studied science at Sheffield University before embarking on a PhD programme with Professor Lord Tedder that took him to Dundee in Scotland. Eventually he joined the faculty of St. Andrews University rising to his present position of Research Professor of Chemistry. He is recognized as a world expert on free radicals and on chemical timing methods. He has written hundreds of specialized science papers as well as textbooks on Free Radical Chemistry and Radicals. He takes a lively interest in everything relating to science and faith and has written many articles and given talks on this theme in the UK and overseas. Of note was the interesting presentation on Intelligent Design he gave to the national meeting of the Norwegian arm of Mensa. He is married to Jane and has two grown-up children. He lives with his bonny wife in picturesque St. Andrews beside the grey-green sea.
