2025 Recap
2025 has seen some big changes for the brand! In the spring, we switched ownership and I was brought on as the new editor and brand manager.
Since then, we have restarted the weekly newsletter, which is a great way to stay up to date with all the latest Christian Fiction book releases and any of our other special content.
Speaking of additional content, we’ve started a blog, where we dive deeper into the meaning and purpose of writing and reading fiction as Christians. We hope you have enjoyed reading our guest writer’s perspectives and insights into the world of Christian fiction and how we should engage with writing and reading as believers. We look forward to continuing to produce these blogs throughout the new year.
Book reviews were another fun addition to 2025, and my TBR list is already filling up for 2026! These have been so much fun to produce, and we hope they help you discover the best Christian fiction novels on the market.
We also hosted our first writing contest. Shout out to Becky Melby for writing the winning flash fiction story! Our next contest will be announced in February via our email newsletter, so stay tuned and make sure to check back regularly so you don’t miss the submission form.
We updated our website in the past few months, which has been quite the process unfortunately, but we believe we have most of the bugs worked out so far and are so excited for the new and improved look for the FamilyFiction brand. We will continue to work on refining the site, so thank you for your patience.
New for 2026 will be book samples (first chapters generously provided to us by some of our gracious publishers) so some of the books will have a sneak peek available! We’re in the process of restarting our video content and hopefully producing more videos for you to watch. More details are coming soon, which will also be shared via our email newsletter.
So that’s the overview, but what’s in it for you? If you’re an author looking to market your Christian fiction novel, novella, or short story collection, we would love for you to email us the information about your book to familyfictionsubmissions@gmail.com and we’ll be in touch from there. If you’re an aspiring author or just love to write, our next writing contest will open in February, so make sure you sign up for our newsletter or keep checking our website for the contest theme and submission form. And if you would like to write for our blog, send us an email! We would love to hear from you.
We’re so excited for all the new things coming in 2026 and hope you’ll stick with the FamilyFiction family to stay up to date on everything Christian fiction!
